Where we find these deals
How to read these figures
They describe the deals we follow, not the whole market. Our sample leans towards what is on promotion, since that is what we collect. The median price you read here is therefore lower than a full catalogue's.
We would rather say it: presenting a figure as a market truth when it describes a sample is exactly what we criticise in inflated strike-through prices.
The median is preferred to the average: a single very expensive product would move an average without telling you anything about what you will find.
